5/30/2014 0 Comments The best is yet to beSo it's the night before graduation: you have your gown ready, your graduation outfit and your cap that awkwardly fits your head. Some people are excited, others however, are bummed and some have well.. mixed emotions like I do. I was really indifferent about graduation up until today when I realized what all is happening. I guess it really didn't hit me yet. Although we've had two practices already, I really didn't feel that I was about to graduate. People have made such a big deal about graduation and I felt like it was commercialized that it was to the point where I wasn't truly excited about it. I was excited to start all over, but then again I was iffy about all of it. As excited as I am about starting a new chapter in my life, I am still kind of scared. Wherever you're going: a large university, a community college or headed straight to work, it can be a little intimidating at times. Through this time of transition, don't forget that God is always there. If you need someone to talk to, yell at, or cry to: God's there. "God is with you- no matter what life brings". Joshua 1:9 It's a fresh start with new people, a new environment, a new chapter in our lives. All we have now are the memories of high school and the kids we survived it with and I hope you cherish that. High school may not have been the best, but it's okay, it's over now! If it was a great experience then yay, I hope you treasure those memories always. It's okay to reread the old chapters of our lives, but when you read a book you don't keep going back to the old chapter, so why do it now? I hope you fill this new chapter of your life with lots of new memories, lessons, and happiness! Congratulations Class of 2014! May all your goals and dreams come true. Also, if you haven't seen the Youtube video that Google dedicated to us, well you should watch it. It gave me the feels. All credit goes to Google!
